What are bioenergies?
Bioenergies are electric power generation sources derived from renewable resources, i.e. capable to regenerate endlessly. There are different types of renewable energy: wind, solar, water, and biomass energy, among others. These types of energy are used to produce electricity, they replace fossil fuels and diversify the national energy mix.
Bioenergy was promoted by passing Act 26.190 and its amendments, the «National Promotion Regime for the Use of Renewable Energy Sources for the Production of Electric Power».
